" Drove the new Porsche 911 Turbo PDK vs M6

So the dealer calls me last night and asked me if i would like the new 997 turbo mk ll for the night to drive, and I said hell yes. Saw the car and it was a beauty, a 997 turbo cabriolet with the gray exterior and a full leather teracotta with the removable hardtop. A beautiful color combination on the cab. The wheels are the new rs spyder which have a carrera gt style center locking, resembles the M3 CSL wheel and a 170,000 $ net price tag . I got down from my beloved M6, and into the turbo, then found how tightly spaced and small the car was, nothing like the more comfortable and everyday to live with M6 GT. It had a much more stiffer suspension what ever mode your in, and the sound of the engine is nothing but turbo's spooling. Just a reminder my M6 with the soft roads of Jordan have no grip and its all over the place, so traction is a big issue here. So the good part, turn on the turbo engine, engage sport plus, engage launch control and booooooooom. This car is a monster, the way this thing jumps is unbelievable and the traction is just crazy!! The way it puts its power down is just phenomenal. It just pushes you to the seat like a fat grandmother sat on you. And the brakes OMG are simply amazing, they take away speed so quickly and aggressively, and those are the standard brakes not the fancy ceramic ones. As far as handling, braking, traction, speed the M6 is squashed in every way, not only the M6 but the more expensive exotics too. The only advantage the M6 has in performance driving is the M6's throttle response, thats when you appreciate a naturally aspirated high revving engine. The 911 has a fair amount of turbo lag, and was surprised of all the talk about zero lag this and that, and throttle response and the power surge is sudden and back breaking, also the PDK isn't that smooth like the M3's especially when changing to second under full throttle.. The new turbo is in a different league. Its performance is breathtaking literally and its a new car that will scare even the hyper cars. I've driven the Lamborghini Lp 640 and the Lp 560 and this Porsche definitely has the traction,braking, handling, and acceleration advantage.

So to the conclusion, did i trade in the M6 cab for this car? No..
Why was it because of the price tag? No..
Then why it's better in every way?
Let me tell you why from my point of view. The 911 is a great car, but I am a person who appreciates engineering and to me the M6 is an engineering marvel and still far to superior to the the 911. The engineering in the M6 still amazes me of how man pulled this off. The 911 is about precision and A-B in the quickest way. It doesn't thrill you like the M6, it doesn't give that feeling of event, it doesn't scare you, it doesn't make that wonderful V10 sound., Its a supercar when you want it to be and also a very civilized, comfortable, quiet GT when you want it to be. The M6 is a much everyday livable car to be with than the 911 turbo. When you drive an M5 or an M6 its like its a living thing, but the porsche is soul less and just a fast car. When driving the M6 I stopped caring about that car or this car or whatever's numbers, I started caring only of how much of a smile it gives me, and boy it makes me smile, I call my car Zanax It just puts me up when I'm down. So if I care about numbers I'll go for the 911, if not then M6 does the job much better. Also did I mention the M6 is much better looking than the 911 turbo and with much more presence in the streets. Still they are both amazing cars and well done Porsche for the new 911 Turbo. Sorry folks i didn't get the opportunity to take any pictures.
