Ibus Relay Unit модул

Hi @dimky!

As I understand, this unit is just relays, not an iBUS emulator, am I right? All of this functions are in GM and LZS module and just have to be coded according owner wishes. You just using relays to send the right signal to those units instead coding with NCS Expert (for example)?

I`ve done only one of this goods by connecting single relay to fold mirrors by locking the car, but there is no phisical option for coding, that`s why I used relay

Or...maybe I`m wrong about your unit

До колкто разбирам, това са само релета, а не iBUS емулатор, така ли е? Всички тези фунции са заложени в GM и LZS модула и просто трябва да бъдат кодирани според желанието на водача. Ти използваш релета, за да изпратиш сигнал, като от подадена команда до съответния модул, вместо просто да се прекодира с NCS Exert и съответната функция да е налична?

Аз свързах реле, за да може страничните огледала да се прибират при заключване, но го направих с реле, защото просто няма такава фабрична фунция.

Или може би бъркам за модула предлаган от теб

Nice to see new interested people here.
In this thread we discuss about two separate units.
First is IBus Relay Unit, which is ready to use, microcontroller based standalone unit. It consists from relays and "digital" part. It reads ibus messages and triggers relays where programmed oem buttons pressed.
Second about we discuss here is tiny universal unit based on this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0553078676
This tiny unit connects to ibus, but can do only software job. As example auto door closing on e39.
This unit can be programmed with any other functions, it's features depends on it's firmware.
I hope, with bg fans we will make new firmware for e49. It will be tiny comfort module.

Sorry, but may be I`m missing something.

E39 does not need any external units for locking doors by ignition, 16km/h, 30km/h, 50km/h....it just need to be coded in GMIII module.

It is the same and with iBus Relay Unit, it makes thing harder than simple codding. Connecting DVD to TV module needs only few additional wires. Connecting an car PC need an iBUS interface (or Resler interface) and software like Car-X for example...and non of this functions needs an external interface or relays.

So the real question is, is this module able to simulate units? For example, if I connect an MP3 player, is it going to be seen by iBUS like an OEM CD Changer?

You right. Some functions can be coded using special software and hardware. But some people can't (or wan't) do it. They want just plug device in and enjoy.

About relay unit. You don't understand what it does. It enables you to CONTROL devices (or signals), not to CONNECT.
An example with pc (or other device): you can switch on or off it's power on the go, using OEM buttons on your board monitor.
Another example: you can activate rear camera input using OEM buttons... and so on.
This is not adapter, this is control board.
This module does not simulate something, it only does it's job. Jobs depends on your imagination or needs.

If you want to connect mp3 player, there is a lot of emulator on the market. For example Grom.

If I understand it correctly, there are many options that can be added to ibus equipped BMW that are not directly supported by programing the OEM modules.

Както разбрах от дискусияте, това устройство може да се програмира да отговаря на определени команди засечени по Ibus-a, с други такива. На пример сгъването на огледалата което Пресли направи с едно реле, може да се направи директно с това устройство, когато то засече комада за заключване на вратите, да изпрати комада за прибиране на огледалата.
Ако съм разбрал правилно, с това устройство може да се добаят много опции който не могат директно да се програмират в оригиналните модули на колата...

да, така излиза, но за съжаление колегата не пише вече
дано е намерил решение за Е46, защото наистина има функции които не може да се активират с никоя програма (отключване при гасене на двигателя)

You right.

Actually, I have little firmware that folds mirrors after locking. But it not realible. Sometimes car does not react to commands, I don't know why. Maybe some modules in car goes to sleep mode when ignition is off, or something like that... I'll try to investigate this problem.
